The original meaning of the word “yoga” — the connection, which refers to the realization of the identity of the individual and higher consciousnes, and feminine and masculine principles. Also, this word means Samadhi (trance) and samyama (control of mind).
In normal use, yoga — a set of methods for achieving the described philosophy with varying traditions of the state. Or, in one word — it
is a practice. Thus, never therecontributed some one system called “yoga”. Yoga INRtypes and they differ in their methods and objectives.
In many schools of yoga is a lot of emphasis on the study of the body through asanas and Vinyasas. And this is important, since it leads to the promotion of health and Wellnes. In other schools the emphasis on working with mantras (audio symbols for meditation). And a good thing too, because it brings with it the peace and balance.
In some more worked out body, in the others mind.
